The Texans needed to follow up their win over the Titans the week before with a win over the Jaguars to solidify their hold on first place in the AFC South. The Jaguars were coming off an emotional win over Baltimore on Monday Night and had belief that they could beat the Texans and gain footing in the AFC South.
Before the Jaguars beliefs could come to fruition, Arian Foster and company had different thoughts about who was winning. Foster coming off a spectacular game against the Titans followed it up with another good game rushing for 112 yards and a touchdown.
After going to the locker rooms tied at 7 the Texans took off in the second half starting it with a touchdown pass to Joel Dressen and then another touchdown by Foster giving the Texans a 21- 7 lead. Houston forced Jags QB Gabbert to throw two interceptions and held him in check all game long, not allowing him to make any big plays.
The Texans will host the Browns at home next week, and will look to improve on their (5-3) record. Houston looks primed to end the season strong, and will look to get Andre Johnson back in the coming weeks.
